How Do I Find Joint Venture Partners?

Two Easy Answers To The Sixty Billion Dollar Question !

I mentioned in a recent article that the perfect kinds of JV partners to look for are organisations who have a busy website, a large opt-in list you can exploit – and also those who are trusted implicitly by their customers. These are the people you can count on to sell a lot of your product in a very short time.

But just how do we find these illusive people from scratch? Is it a case of looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack?

Most certainly no! In fact here are two great ways you can find hundreds or even thousands of suitable candidates very easily indeed ….
Finding Potential JV Partners Through E-Zine Directories
Some of your best JV partners will be e-zine or e-mail newsletter publishers who publish content for your target market. E-zine publishers are excellent prospects to target for your JV deals because they will already have hot e-mail lists jam-packed with people who want to buy your product or service.

Most of the smaller-to-medium sized e-zines make fantastic candidates for JV deals. Because they are just getting started. They desperately need to bring revenue to their business. But they aren’t so big they might overlook you. However, do make sure that these online publications cover your target audience and that, ideally, they have at least 1,000 subscribers.

You can also target the larger e-zines of course. And don’t overlook the smaller ones either. Often, although their subscriber base may be small, they not only have loyal subscribers but a great relationship with them – so a recommendation for your product will really carry some weight.

Here are some places I know to find great e-zines for your offer:

www.e-zinez.com
www.ezinedir.com

One thing I would say …. e-zine directories themselves appear, disappear and change with frightening regularity. (It just underlines how fast the Internet itself is evolving.) So if you find these directories don’t suit your needs (or don’t exist by the time you read this!) just use your favourite search engine to search for ‘e-zine directory’ or similar and you’ll find loads of directories – I promise you!

Work through the directories and pick out as many e-zines as possible. It’s also a good idea to subscribe to some of them, to make sure they are within your target market. Another good idea is to read through some back issues, if they’re available.
Finding Potential JV Partners Through The Internet
Many webmasters may also have an opt-in e-mail/e-zine list that they can market your products/services to. Yet they may not list their e-zine in the directories. However, locating these potential JV partners is easy …. if you have the right tools for doing so. And now you do!

Here are two wonderful tools to use for this purpose: Copernic and Alexa. Both of them are well worth downloading and installing. They’re also free! They will both become your most valuable tools for finding webmasters for your JV’s.

At this site you will need to download the Copernic 2.0 Desktop Search
engine (CDS). Copernic has registered contact information on over
10,000,000 webmasters.

Here you will need to download the Alexa Toolbar. It is also a search engine, but what Alexa does is give you detailed and specific information about the website you have located including traffic ratings, contact information, street address, telephone or fax number, e-mail and how long the website has been online.

I recommend you visit these sites and obtain the software for them right now. Have a play around and familiarise yourself with what they can do. In an upcoming article, available very shortly, I will tell you how to become expert at using them both!
